SUMMARY:Deadline for Poinsettia Orders
DESCRIPTION:CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS \nIt’s the time of year again to think about decorating for the Christmas season. Poinsettias provided by Richmond Nursery are kept in heated greenhouses until pickup\, and they are later varieties that ensure colour remains throughout the season. Each plant is covered with a paper sleeve to protect it from cold and damage. Sleeves are marked with the plant colour along with a QR code linking to care instructions. \nPlants will be in a 6” pot and a variety of colours is offered: red\, white or multi coloured (multi-colour includes marbled\, speckled\, or multiple solid colours in a single pot.) The cost for each plant is $20.00. \nProfits from the sales will go towards the Refugee Sponsorship Fund for Aloys and family. We hope you will respond to this initiative by placing an order for one or more plants. They will be a lovely addition to your holiday decorations or a thoughtful gift for family and friends. \nThe deadline for placing orders is November 30th\, with pick up at the church on either Saturday\, Dec. 6 or Sunday\, Dec. 7. Payment by cash prior to delivery would be appreciated. At a time of year when family connections are so important\, our gift sends a message of hope\, caring\, and God’s love to a group of young people who often feel lonely or forgotten. \nDonations will be collected on November 23 and 30\, December 7 and 14. Please use your collection envelope to provide a donation in support of this initiative\, marking it “White Gift”\, or use the specially stamped “White Gift” envelopes in the pews.  You can also note “White Gift” on digital offerings. \nOur thrifty shopping team will use every dollar received to purchase practical necessities and seasonal treats.
