SUMMARY:White Gift Collection
DESCRIPTION:This year\, Mission and Outreach is again planning to assemble 19 Christmas Gift Bags to be given to local low-income youth. In coordination with Youth Services Bureau\, each young adult living in a YSB housing unit in Hintonburg will be blessed during this festive season with a wonderful gift bag provided through the generosity of our congregation. At a time of year when family connections are so important\, our gift sends a message of hope\, caring\, and God’s love to a group of young people who often feel lonely or forgotten. \nDonations will be collected on November 23 and 30\, December 7 and 14. Please use your collection envelope to provide a donation in support of this initiative\, marking it “White Gift”\, or use the specially stamped “White Gift” envelopes in the pews.  You can also note “White Gift” on digital offerings. \nOur thrifty shopping team will use every dollar received to purchase practical necessities and seasonal treats. Thank you in advance for making this important outreach initiative an annual success!

Under the skilled direction of Frédéric Bédard\, choir director\, you’ll hear some of the finest festive carols\, joyful folk jingles as well as few classical pieces from Handel’s Messiah. For the occasion\, the choir voices depending on the song will be accompanied by a string quartet\, a pianist\, a guitarist\, and a percussionist. There will be something for everyone! \nThe net proceeds from ticket sales of this benefit concert will go to the Ottawa West Community Support (OWCS) that has been providing in-home programs and services to seniors\, adults with disabilities and their caregivers for 45 years. \nGet your tickets online or at the door: \n\nAdults: $20\nFREE ADMISSION for ages 17 or under.\n\nIf you cannot attend the concert but still wish to donate\, an official receipt for your donations will be issued by OWCS.
