At St. Stephen’s, we believe God calls us to work in and with our community. We have included information on some of our partners here.
Community Groups that use our building:
The Blue Whale Children’s Centre is a small, non-profit homeschool based program in Ottawa that provides an alternative learning environment for children ages 8 to 11 years of age. Our center was founded in 2015 by a group of parents on the belief that learning should be a joyful and positive experience for every child. We believe that children truly want to learn, and that they learn best in an environment where they feel comfortable, welcomed, supported, valued and heard. We are happy to call St. Stephen’s home and are open to all children and families who find that their needs are in some way not being met through conventional schooling and methods.
Canadian Centennial Choir is an amateur community concert choir of approximately 70 voices. It was established in 1967 to celebrate in song the centenary of Canadian Confederation. Through the efforts of dedicated founding members, the Choir was constituted in 1968 as a non-profit, charitable organization. The Choir performs secular and sacred music with a particular focus on new and commissioned works composed or arranged by Canadians.
We also have a number of support groups who meet weekly at St. Stephen’s. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the office through our Contacts Page!
